Fiona Dean’s work has evolved from a passion for art and science, blurring the boundaries between the two subjects in her work. Her art tries to untangle some of the psychological and biological questions between the two fields. In 2012, after training with Scottish taxidermist George Jamieson, she has developed a fascination with the actual process of taxidermy, regularly returning to advance her skills.
At present her work is in both private and public collections. She works on traditional taxidermy, and also on her own more conceptual pieces.
